1955 Eighth-Grade Graduation Ceremony in Los Gatos
Nearly 60 years ago, Los Gatos had fancy graduating middle school classes.
Los Gatos middle school, Raymond J. Fisher, is celebrating its graduation at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at Calvary Church of Los Gatos, 16330 Los Gatos Blvd.
But nearly 60 years ago, the town also had similar graduation ceremonies.
In perfect 1955 style, the girls graduating from eighth grade at University Avenue School in Los Gatos wore pastel summer dresses with full skirts, white gloves and each carried a posy.
