Whiz Kid of The Week: Adithya Suresh
Adithya Suresh, Age 13, 8th grader, who loves watching
sports, great competing in Tae-kwon-do, playing French horn and loves
to read books.
School: Hopkins Junior High School, Fremont, Young Genius Educational Center, Saratoga & Fremont
Accomplishments:
• Second degree black belt in Tae-kwon-do
• San Jose Youth Symphony 2013-2014
• 4th place in Congress at 2014 State Championship in Berkley
• 3rd Place in Lincoln Douglass in 2013 SCU Philalethic Tourney • 2012 Tae-kwon-do excellence award Key to Awesomeness:
Adithya has debated for over one year as part of the Young Genius Speech and Debate Club. He has participated in SCU Philalethic Tourney, Santa Clara 2014, Berkley, State, and Nationals.
He has debated in both Congress and Lincoln Douglass and has won medals in both. He placed 4th in State, which was his 1st Congress tournament, and did well in his very first Nationals.
In his other activities, he has done tae-kwon-do since the age of 4. Currently he has graduated to his 2nd degree black belt and is passionately pursuing achieving his 3rd Degree. He was given an excellence award in 2012.
