Los Gatos Verizon DSL Service

More Some of you may be aware that Verizon DSL was interrupted for nearly 24 hours from Tuesday about 11PM to Wednesday about 9PM.  Calling their trouble line, one is routed to the Philippines and they were totally unaware of the problem.  They instructed me to reset my DSL modem, etc., etc. It took me two days to get the mess they created sorted out.  Resetting the modem gave it a default IP address the same as another piece of equipment on my rather complex network.  After time and poor documentation, such a circumstance can raise havoc.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH, VERIZON, FOR YOUR ROBOTIC RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!
