The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors presented the Los Gatos Rotary Club with a commendation for its philanthropy work performed in 2012.
Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, a Los Gatos resident, did the honors the afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Los Gatos Lodge during the service club's weekly meeting.
The club was recognized for its service projects such as Operation Yellow Ribbon, funds raised for Hurricane Sandy victims, and the World Service Project in the Philippines.
“The afternoon Rotary Club of Los Gatos is to be commended for their exceptional year of service that included numerous local, national and even international service projects. Los Gatos and our entire region benefit from their good works,” Wasserman said.
The Rotary Club of Los Gatos, established in 1924, is dedicated to serving the local and world community.
