Cliff notes version: I guess! Like I learned in high school you miss many of the fine points whenRead More you fail to read the full story. California's energy picture needs a variety of sources: including solar, natural gas, tar sands oil and nuclear. The gravest danger to California is one sided advocates that fail to see the whole picture. The author would be well served to take a wider view on the topic and stop pushing a lopsided agenda!

The power companies are using solar as a way to gouge their customers. I installed solar severalRead More years ago and my Electricity bill went up! I called the company out that installed it, had another independent company come look at it and then had PG&E come look at it. Everyone said it was a proper sized system, I was doing things right by doing laundry, filtering the pool and big jobs like that at night. I'd go out in the middle of the day and watch my meter run backwards, can't tell you what a thrill that was in the beginning! At the end fo the year I got a bill for $3,000 for my years use of energy. That's an average of $250 a month, my average before solar was $317. My system was sized for me to be close to a 0 dollar year end bill. Something wasn't right! Somebody somewhere was giving me the full story.
