Caroline Kennedy and her brother, John Jr., accompany their mother, Jacqueline Kennedy, down the steps of Washington's St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church after the funeral Mass for their father, assassinated President John F. Kennedy Nov. 25, 1963.

Still too painful to watch all the re-runs of those days when JFK was killed. Who knows where we'dRead More be if he had lived on? I think he was ready to get us out of Vietnam.

the pledge of allegiance is an embarrassing bit of drivel that really has no connection to ourRead More national fabric. the pledge originated in the back to a magazine article written by an avowed socialist in the late nineteenth century, and yet oddly enough has been co-opted by the far right as dogma. "under god" was added in the 50s merely to tick off the atheist soviets. its astounding that no one seems to see the massive disconnect between an article of blind devotion and the american revolution, whose leaders deeply abhorred the concept of free men yielding to a synthetic authority. the point of the pledge is to indoctrinate blind obedience to the state. request to the lions: please don't.

Do you have something against socialism? We are far better socialist than the Soviets ever were. AnyRead More one with half a brain knows we live an illusion of freedom. The only thing that is free in Los Gatos is a parking spot. I expect meters anytime now. Please drink your koolaid and take your medication continue the indoctrination and lean forward

No need to get vindictive here. Everyone has their opinions & beliefs. Yeah, I may not agreeRead More with some things. But I'm learning to Stop, think, & respond. Instead of reacting. Hey, I know it's hard! I don't walk on water!

I grieve along with you and with the community of Los Gatos. Peter was indeed a man who welcomedRead More everyone with joy and as you said, made us all feel very special. His enthusiastic zest for life was always a source of inspiration. He will be forever alive in my heart and soul. And knowing Peter,(wherever he may be at the moment), he is far from sleeping.

Peter is having a Martini right now. He has touched so many his legacy continues to grow. The musicRead More is playing and that wonderful character lives on. He will be missed. But right now he is being remembered every day in every way in so many people. They say if you have a couple of good friends you have probably gotten it right. Look at the crowds that continue to love this man. This itself speaks volumes.

Mr. Jazz Man, thank you for continuing to make us smile! Your post made my day! Love your diatribes!Read More Keep them coming. My favorite part: "I didn’t spend Valentine’s Day adrift in the Gulf of Mexico on the good ship Lolly Poop."

Sheila, I owe an apology for providing not exact info in that sudden-spontanious interview. I wish IRead More could attend most of the scheduled concerts. Love music!

He was nut to think he could have kept getting away with it, there were too many stories, and onceRead More teste were developed to discover the type of PED he was using there was enough evidence to back up the stories.. That said, I'm glad he's finally gotten the ball to tell the truth.
Michelle McIntyre January 20, 2013 at 12:08 am
I do public relations for a living so I was very frustrated with everything he did. First PR ruleRead More is, "Don't lie; tell the truth" so just that alone is a PR nightmare. He lied for years and years over and over. Then he does an hours and hours long interview apologizing and detailing all of the lies which made him look worse. A brief apology would have been fine. Every time he spoke, I didn't believe him because he lied so much so the whole interview just made him look horrible. I was thinking that I can't believe he is sorry because he's such a liar. He should pay back the endorsement money and just keep quiet and stop going on TV.

I wonder how many women were sexually molested by the "good old boys" in the militaryRead More under Gen. Petraeus watch. Now we find out Paula Broadwell as his biographer was given access to sensitive info. What a foolish man and one who couldn't keep his conjugal commitment. Shame!

Some of our local citizens clearly don't believe in elections. They were demonstrating in from ofRead More the LG Post Office this morning with large signs demanding impeachment of the POTUS. They just failed in firing the POTUS. Seems they lack an understanding of the operation of democracy. I had a moment of hope this morning about the direction of our politics, and that was shattered by that little display at the P.O. Brian
