Los Gatos Mayor Steve Rice honored the Los Gatos Rotary Club with a proclamation Tuesday evening celebrating the organization's 107th birthday.
Members of both groups of Rotarians in town, the Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning clubs, were in attendance to receive the proclamation.
Mayor Rice signed the proclamation along with presidents Jane Darwin (Wednesday Morning Rotary Club) and William Piche (Tuesday Afternoon Rotary Club) and declared Feb. 23 as "World Understanding and Peace Day."

Thanks so much to Mayor Steve and the council for this opportunity to celebrate Rotary's anniversary. It was a proud moment to have so many Rotarians from both clubs there to share in the moment. And as we always like to ask-What service club do you belong to?
