The Los Gatos High baseball team's recent offensive exploits certainly didn't check out for summer vacation just yet.

Los Gatos pounded the baseball all over the yard, highlighted by two big home runs, during a 2011 Central Coast Section Division II first round playoff victory over El Camino High-South San Francisco Thursday afternoon in Los Gatos.

Los Gatos won the game 9-1 and will play Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division foe Los Altos on Saturday afternoon in one of four quarterfinal matchups in the D-II draw.

Ken Corey and Kevin Brogan each launched home runs in the win for the 'Cats. Brogan hit a two-run shot in the sixth inning to ice the opening round tilt.

Los Altos (20-11) defeated Los Gatos (21-9-2) in both regular season meetings, the final one coming way back on March 11 at Los Altos.

Senior Mike Murano closed out the game for Los Gatos on the mound. Los Altos escaped with an eight inning 2-1 victory over Burlingame High on Thursday.
